Managing a project

The general idea with managing a project is to load one or more work-in-progress ArchiMate models and then add some additional configuration that assists in socialisation and assurance of the project.

After the project model(s) are loaded, you should:

  • Add tags to the project, e.g. Domain=Finance, Architect=<name>, Sponsor=<name>. It would be best if you were consistent with project tags since you can perform portfolio-level filtering and grouping with these project tags on the Project Explorer page.
  • Add tags to each of the views to help with filtering
  • Create stories for selected views that might explain such topics as how security works, major design decisions, what the main pieces of work are to deliver the project and so on. Creating stories partially replaces the project team creating PowerPoint slide decks and presenting these.
